Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game

The Emerald Empire of Rokugan. It is a land upheld by honor, guided by fate, ruled by destiny. The Great Clans each support the Emperor, but inter-clan conflict is inevitable—both in the Emperor’s courts and on the battlefield. In the midst of danger and turmoil, honor must be your sword and your armor.

Enter the vibrant world of Rokugan with Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game, a Living Card Game of honor and conflict for two players! Drawing on the legacy of AEG’s original Legend of the Five Rings collectible card game, and now reimagined with new mechanics, story, and the Living Card Game distribution model, you are invited to join the Great Clans, uphold the tenets of Bushidō, and fulfill your duty to your daimyō and the Emperor in a world shaped and changed by a dynamic, player-influenced story.

During the game, you take on the leadership of one of the Great Clans which define Rokugani society, and you are cast into conflict against another clan. Your conflicts will decide the future of Rokugan, whether you’re battling with a katana or with cutting words, but the samurai of your clan cannot remain by your side indefinitely—when their destinies are fulfilled, you must find new allies to continue your conflicts. Ultimately, it’s your choice whether you will fight with honor or use unsavory means, but in every game, it is your role to lead your clan to victory.

And don’t forget our L5R Launch Party this Saturday at 1pm! This friendly open play environment is a great place to try out decks for each clan you favor and to choose which you will dedicate yourself. Each player should bring a Core Set and build 30-card Dynasty and Conflict decks. Learn how to play among your fellow samurai, and get some experience with the various strategies and options available to you. Reserve your space here.

Fields of Fire 2nd Edition

Fields of Fire is a solitaire game of commanding a rifle company between World War II and Present Day. The game is different from many tactical games in that it is diceless and card based. There are two decks used to play. The Terrain Deck is based on a specific region and is used to build a map for the various missions your company must perform. The Action deck serves many purposes in controlling combat, command and control, various activity attempts. The units of the company are counters representing headquarters elements, squads, weapons teams, forward observers, individual vehicles or helicopters. A single game is a mission and several missions from a historical campaign are strung together for the player to manage experience and replacements. A mission can be played in about 1 – 4 hours. This game is based on three actual campaigns experienced by units of the 9th US Infantry (Regiment) in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. “Keep Up the Fire” is the motto of the 9th Infantry (Regiment), known as the “Manchus” for their service in the Boxer Rebellion. The Fields of Fire 2nd Edition includes:

  • An updated and reorganized rulebook
  • A Detailed Example of Play Booklet
  • One New Campaign
  • Corrected Counters
  • All other components as in the game’s first edition

The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game Saga Expansion – The Mountain of Fire

“We come now to the very brink, where hope and despair are akin. To waver is to fall.”
Aragorn, The Return of the King

Dire, world-shattering stakes. Epic Multiplayer Mode. The fate of all Middle-earth… The Mountain of Fire is the sixth and final The Lord of the Rings Saga Expansion for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game!

Three epic scenarios grant you the opportunity to adventure alongside Aragorn and Frodo Baggins as they march to the Black Gate, carry the One Ring into the heart of Mordor, and climb the final steps to the fires of Mount Doom. These scenarios are inspired directly by The Return of the King, and their apocalyptic, world-altering stakes are reflected by the introduction of the dire keyword, which raises the threat elimination level to “99,” and by rules that allow you play the final two scenarios simultaneously in Epic Multiplayer Mode, either in standalone play or as the climactic finale to your The Lord of the Rings Saga Campaign!

And it’s not just the scenarios that are bigger and more fantastic than ever. The Mountain of Fire is loaded with new heroes, allies, events, and attachments that truly convey the awesome resolve of those noble and daring Men, Elves, Dwarves, and Hobbits that stood at the end against the forces of Mordor.

Crossfire

The Intel is solid. Raxxon will be transporting a VIP through a sector heavy with civilian traffic. This makes the mission a tricky one. You’ll be working alone as they try to throw you off their tail. Don’t be fooled. You need to get in and get the job done before the chance passes by. Just be sure to not get caught in the crossfire. Deception and negotiation are your greatest tools. Complete your mission, no matter the costs.

Introducing Crossfire, a game in the world of Specter Ops. Emerson Matsuuchi has partnered with Plaid Hat Games again to take players back into the dystopian struggle between Raxxon and A.R.K. This time, players compete in two teams to either protect or assassinate a Raxxon VIP, while trying to determine whether other players at the table are who they really claim to be. The clock is ticking…
