Container 10th Anniversary Jumbo Edition

Container, the classic game of big ships and big production, returns in a 10th Anniversary Jumbo Edition! Now with huge ships and realistic containers to load and unload, building (or destroying) your living economy has never been more fun!

Container is an easy game with an open economy and lots of meaningful decisions. Build factories and warehouses, or focus on shipping goods to your island. Take advantage of government subsidies to ensure maximum profits! But watch out for your cash reserves because the player-driven market can go sour at any time, and you’ll need to be ready to change your strategy.

Also included in this edition of Container is an all new add-on called “The Investment Bank”. This new entity operates as a game-controlled broker who is seeking to maximize their own profits. Watch as the three brokers try to build their own cash and container resources and be ready to make a deal when the price is right. The Investment Bank add-on ensures new and interesting challenges for even the most seasoned Container player.

This 10th Anniversary Jumbo Edition of Container features resin miniature ships 7 inches long!

Downforce: Danger Circuit

Downforce: Danger Circuit, an expansion for Downforce, consists of two new tracks on a double-sided game board as well as six new racer powers to shuffle with those in the base game.

Switchback Pass presents dangerous spaces. Cars may move through such spaces only to pass other cars and may not end their turn on one. Crosstown Speedway features two crossover loops, where cars in the rear can block cars ahead of them, and split areas of the track, where players must choose between the shorter single-lane section or the longer, more wide open section.

New powers are:

  • Tough – On any player’s turn, move 2 additional spaces when your car ends its movement next to a rumble strip (red-and-white).
  • Bold – On your turn, if your car would move 1 or 2 spaces, move it 3 spaces instead.
  • Defensive – If none of your cars move on your turn, move one of your cars 3 spaces.
  • Reckless – On your turn, if your car moves diagonally between two adjacent cars, move it 2 additional spaces.
  • Experienced – If any car starts its movement directly ahead of your car, move your car into the space they moved out of.
  • Ambitious – On any player’s turn, if your car crosses a betting line, move it 2 additional spaces.

Remnants

Remnants takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. Each player builds a compound and fights to survive raiders and mutant creatures. The game is played in five phases: Scavenge, Build, Fight, Heal, and Clean-up. In the Scavenge phase, you send survivors into the Badlands to roll dice in a real-time race for resources. In the Build phase, you take turns spending those resources to buy weapon, defense, and special development cards that enhance your compound. When threats attack, you roll dice and use abilities from cards you purchased to survive. You’ll fight a Level 1 threat, followed by a Level 2 threat, then finally face down the Raider Boss. After the final attack, the game ends and the player with the most victory points wins. Victory points can be scored from development cards, survivors, specialists, defeated threats, and special bonus tokens.

Golden Amber fills the deep mines, it’s fiery, cold embers glowing in the ancient rocks. Scholars say that the Arzians valued it above gold or silver, and wore it as a sign of wealth. Perhaps the rare substance holds forgotten secrets about the long-dead empire and their lust for power?

Near and Far: Amber Mines

Near and Far: Amber Mines is the first expansion to Near and Far. It includes modules that you can add or remove according to your preferences. The modules are…

  • Amber Mines – This module includes a new Mine tile which you place over the top of the Mine on the town board. It also includes a deck of 43 Amber Mine cards that players can explore.
  • Magic – This module includes a new Mystic’s Hut tile (that is combined with the new Mine), a Magic Track tile, and a deck of 30 Spell cards with powerful abilities.
  • New General Store – This module includes a new General Store tile which you place over the top of the General Store on the town board. It has slightly altered actions and gives players another way to place camps.
  • New Threat Cards – This module includes 13 new threat cards. These cards replace the original deck of threat cards in Near and Far.

Paper Tales

Experience two fantastical centuries of expansions and combat in Paper Tales. Remodel your assorted assembly of characters, units, and buildings in each period based on your developments and the age of your heroes. Write a new legend of the rightful ruler who brought unity to the rival kingdoms.

In more detail, Paper Tales is a simultaneous drafting card game. Each turn, players draft five units that they then recruit into their kingdom — assuming that they can pay. These choices determine the players ability to shine in battle, generate great income, construct dominant buildings, and earn legend points. There are only four hiring positions available during the four rounds of the play, but your units grow older with each turn until time takes them away.

Build a comprehensive strategy and adapt the shape of your realm according to opportunities and restrictions and you will make history!

Pass the Pandas Deluxe Edition

Be the first to get rid of all of your dice in Pass the Pandas by rolling pandas, bamboo, or water drops. A player who rolls pandas on her turn is able to pass those dice to other players. A roll of bamboo must be matched (or exceeded!) by the next player. A roll of water allows her to discard those dice. A blank roll does nothing to help her, and she must keep blank dice to roll again on her next turn. The deluxe edition includes enough dice for up to 8 players, and a nice wooden box. Pandas!

The Pyramid’s Deadline

In ancient Egypt, the king has ordered architects to his side. “Construct a glorious tomb for this eagle, and I will give a reward to whoever has created the largest tomb. Fail to complete the tomb by the time that the eagle dies, however, and it’s the death penalty for you on the spot.”

Your challenge in The Pyramid’s Deadline is to create a tomb larger than any other player’s without getting so greedy that you’ll be rewarded with death instead. This game combines puzzles, bargaining, and pieces rolled on die that you’ll use to build pyramids.

Hitler’s Reich

No stacks of armies, no hexes, no overly-lengthy rules to learn – Hitler’s Reich takes five minutes to set up and two hours (or less!) to play. Players fight over Europe, across the North Atlantic and Mediterranean and into Russia using a combat mechanism similar to the traditional card game “War” with dice added in. High-quality wooden pieces mark their progress, which is aided economically, politically and on the battlefield through the competition for and play of Event Cards drawn from three unique decks: one for the Axis, one for the Allies, and one from which either side can attempt to draw.

Hitler’s Reich is the first of the Card Conquest System game series in which players recreate epic military contests of history in short, comparatively simple and easy to learn, but hard to master games. Designed to be set up in minutes and played to conclusion in one sitting, these are not simulations but games, albeit ones packed with enough historical flavor, excitement, and decision making to give you the feeling of being there at the highest levels of command.

Gallipoli 1915: Churchill’s Greatest Gamble

Gallipoli 1915: Churchill’s Greatest Gamble realistically covers the first three days of the campaign, a time of wild maneuver, of decisive attacks parried by the timely arrival of reinforcements, and the onset of trench warfare. Speed – but not reckless haste – is the key to success.

The map covers the entire peninsula from north of Anzac Cove to Cape Helles, based on the 1922 British Ordnance Survey. Players can choose to land at the historical beaches, or create their own plans.

The game system emphasizes command and control. Players command by Brigade and Regiment. To be successful, a player must plan for the eventual exhaustion of their troops, rotating them out of line to rest and recover stragglers. The result is an accurate modeling of the tempo of these battles.

Skies Above the Reich

Skies Above the Reich is a solitaire game depicting a Luftwaffe squadron of Bf109s struggling to deter and destroy the relentless daylight raids over Germany during World War Two. The player’s individual aircraft, each represented by a stickered block, must confront the mighty “combat box” formation of the United States Army Air Force, a deadly terrain of B-17 Flying Fortresses.

The game is a broad strokes depiction that presents the arc of the desperate air war. Stretching from late 1942 to early 1945, Skies Above the Reich follows that trajectory in a series of missions strung together to make a campaign. Each mission will take a half hour or more to play, while a campaign can last anywhere from six to sixty missions.
