Unmatched: Battle of Legends, Volume One

In battle, there are no equals. Unmatched is a highly asymmetrical miniature fighting game for two or four players, that re-implements the classic Star Wars: Epic Duels game from 2002. Each hero is represented by a unique deck designed to evoke their style and legend. Tactical movement and no-luck combat resolution create a unique play experience that rewards expertise, but just when you’ve mastered one set, new heroes arrive to provide all new match-ups.

Battle of Legends, Volume One features four heroes. King Arthur sacrifices cards to power up his attacks and gets some timely assistance from Merlin’s magic. Alice is back from Wonderland with a giant vorpal blade and the Jabberwock by her side as she grows and shrinks to gain advantages on attack and defense. Medusa is happy to attack from range and let her harpies hound you, but just one devastating glance could end the battle quickly. Sinbad grows in power as he gains experience on each of his voyages.

Combat is resolved quickly by comparing attack and defense cards. However, each card’s unique effects and a simple but deep timing system lead to interesting decisions each time. The game also features an updated version of the line-of-sight system from Tannhäuser for ranged attacks and area effects.

The game includes a double-sided board with two different battlefields, pre-washed miniatures for each hero, and custom life trackers that’s brought to life with the stunning artwork of Oliver Barrett and the combined design teams of Restoration Games and Mondo Games.

Mental Blocks

Mental Blocks is a game of puzzling perspectives, with players trying to complete a puzzle using oversized foam blocks, despite seeing only one perspective of the design. You have to co-operate to complete the puzzle as a team, but you have a time limit, so don’t just sit around staring at the pieces. In addition to the time pressure, players have other challenges, such as not being able to talk or to touch certain color blocks.

Mental Blocks features sixty puzzles: thirty “family mode” puzzles and thirty “challenge mode” puzzles that ramp in difficulty. For an even wilder game, you can add a traitor to the table to block your block-building…

Tree Dragon Ante: Legendary Edition

Three-Dragon Ante: Legendary Edition is a re-imagining of the original classic Dungeons & Dragons Three Dragon Ante, a casual standalone card game of chance for two to six players. Each hand, players ante gold to the stakes and compete to play the strongest flight of three cards, dragons, or mortals. The strongest flight wins that gold from the stakes, but playing weaker cards triggers your cards’ powers and sets you up to win the next hand. This Legendary Edition includes new Legendary Dragons, Mortals, Gold and Platinum Pieces, and Ability Disks for combining Three-Dragon Ante with the Dungeons & Dragons tabletop game! The craftiest (and luckiest) player wins by taking the most gold!

Nine Tiles Panic

In Nine Tiles Panic, each player has a set of nine double-sided town tiles. At the start of a round, three scoring cards are revealed, such as most aliens on a single road, most dogs visible, or longest road. All player then race to assemble their town in whatever pattern seems best, trying to score points for one, two, or three of the scoring cards as they wish. As soon as the first player decides that they’re done, they flip the sand timer and everyone else has 90 seconds to complete their town, then players determine who scores for which cards, with ties being broken in favor of whoever finished first. Players score points based on the number of players in the game, and players track their score on a chart over multiple rounds.
