I’m Board Stores are Temporarily Closed as Part of the Safer At Home Initiative

I’m Board stores are temporarily closed, effective March 25, 2020, and part of Governor Evers’ Safer at Home Order. In order to comply with this important initiative, all I’m Board operations are shut down until further notice. Please make the effort to read the Order linked above, as it can not only keep you safe, it can save your life. The Order currently is scheduled to lift on April 25, however we are anticipating it may go longer, and have prepared for that eventuality.

Answers to Questions You May Have

Q: Is there any way I can buy stuff from you during this time?
A: Yes! Many of our favorite game publishers have made arrangements to allow you to purchase their games directly from their web sites, and proceeds from those sale support local stores like ours who have had to close down. Go to this page to see the list of publishers and learn how you can support them and also support I’m Board!

Q: How else can I support the store during this down time?
A: We have set up a method where you can purchase eGift Cards that never expire. You can do that right here. Thank you!

Q: Is I’m Board going to make it through this?
A: Very likely. While nothing is ever certain, we are currently in a good state and have options we can take advantage of to ensure we have the resources needed to weather this storm.

Q: How long will you be closed?
A: We really have no idea. While the “official” timeline is currently a matter of weeks, it could be much longer. It will all depend on how well we as a country accept, adopt, and adapt. Be vigilant!

Q: What will happen with my preorders?
A: We honestly don’t know for sure. Frankly, many (maybe most) game stores around the country are going to be closed during this time. Many publishers are pushing back their releases. And we don’t know how long this will last. Rest assured we will do our best to maintain our top customer service when we are back in business.

Q: Will Kickstarters be impacted, too?
A: Yes. If a Kickstarter project is shipping while we are out of commission, we will reach out to that publisher for options. We honestly don’t know what those options will be. For the time being it is unlikely that we will back any new projects.

Q: I see something I want to preorder. Can I still do that?
A: Yes! Just send us an email with the specific information. The publisher, the exact name of the product, your full name, and your phone number. We’ll add it to the lists. Note however that we will still be at the mercy of the shutdown order and any potential supply issues when we get back in business.

Q: How can I connect with you?
A: Lots of ways! We are always on Facebook and we have a number of Facebook Groups just for chatting and discussion. We are also occasionally on Twitter. And if you need to contact us, you can send us an email.
